The Muck and More Rambling about Etsy

Hello, my lovely stalkers! Welcome!

*Snark because most of my page counts come from my lovely family and friends who have been bullied begged into reading my blog. Thanks, Mom! Here's an emoticon heart: <3

What's new in the world of Threads of Insanity? Let's see..

You probably want to know how I did at the craft fair at the Muckenthaler last Sunday, don't you? (Well, probably not, if you're the aforementioned friends and family because you already know, in detail.) Anyway, I'm just going to go ahead and tell you because that's how I roll.

Sales-wise, I've done better, but I've also done worse. So that was okay. I met some lovely people there, both vendors and customers (and browsers), which was really nice. A friend of mine came over to help me sell stuff because he was bored and also happens to be an awesome salesman. The music (ragtime because duh, Ragtime Music Festival, the only one in Orange County) was wonderful. A lot of people came dressed in 20's style clothes, which was really fun. All in all, great experience, once again. Thanks, Muck people!

And now, on to some real news:

I sold my first Etsy item! Yes! *insert touchdown dance, even though I know nothing about football, American or otherwise*

It was this:

The speaker wire adjustable bracelet! And yes, in case you were wondering (most likely not, but let's just say you were), I tweaked that picture a bit! This Etsy-slash-blog thing is helping me develop my (free) Photoshop (knockoff) skills. I like this picture better, because it looks brighter and prettier.

Anyway, I made my first Etsy sale (at ThreadsofInsanity) today. I'll be sending it off tomorrow. I'm a bit nervous about this because I've never shipped my stuff like this before. Fingers crossed! I'm really excited.

Oh yeah, and I also put up a new item.

This the button sweater clip. Vintage-looking, right? I'm excited about these because my grandma can wear them, and so can I and still look good. Wear them instead of a necklace! It's unique!

Here's a close-up shot of that:

So now, you can go to my shop on Etsy (ThreadsofInsanity) and buy these, if you like them, as well as a bunch of other stuff! Yay! Coolness.

Okay. That's about it for today. See y'all again soon!
